Webinar on RTI Act 2005

The National Communications Academy–Finance (NCA-F) is organizing a webinar on the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005 to strengthen awareness and understanding of one of India's most significant transparency legislations. The webinar aims to familiarize participants with the provisions, objectives, and scope of the RTI Act while enhancing their understanding of the rights and responsibilities of both citizens and public authorities under the Act. The programme will provide practical insights into the roles and functions of Public Information Officers (PIOs), Assistant Public Information Officers (APIOs), and Appellate Authorities. It will also help participants understand procedural requirements, statutory timelines, exemptions, and best practices for handling RTI applications effectively. By equipping officers and officials with the knowledge required for efficient RTI implementation, the webinar seeks to promote greater transparency, accountability, and good governance in public administration.
